It's future is in our hands
Once the land is acquired it would stay in Trust for ever. Its wildness, fauna and flora, its animals and solitude would remain for future generations to come.
The Wilderness Trust would be committed to manage the estate on when deemed absolutely necessary. Strict river pollution controls would be implimented and the place registered as an SSSI - Site Special Scientific Interest.

The oak belongs to our imagination
The Oak is a symbol not just of England but of ourselves. Our poets, writers and painters have drawn inspiration from it. Ted Hughes belongs to a long line of English imaginary visionaries who excell in the landscape. Shakespear, Constable, Palmer, Turner all drew their inspiration from the landscape.
